Board a traditional boat and enjoy a 45-minute ride along the tranquil river as the sun begins to rise. Arrive at our exclusive shooting location where local fishermen cast their nets, check their catch, and create a rich tapestry of motion and light — all perfectly set up for captivating photography. This experience is part of our unique Vietnam photo tours designed for enthusiasts seeking stunning visuals.

📷 Guided Photography Session

Capture stunning shots of authentic Vietnamese river life under the golden hues of sunrise. With the expert support of a local photographer and professional model, we’ll guide you through creative compositions and help you explore unique artistic photo concepts throughout the shoot, making this a memorable Hoi An photo tour.

🕖 7:30 AM – Return by Boat

After the session, we’ll return to the boat station, still basking in the glow of the morning light.

We’ll transfer you back to Hoi An ancient town, leaving you with beautiful memories and exceptional photos to treasure from your Hoi An photography tours.

Hoi An is an ancient town where we primarily walk to explore this area; no cars are allowed to enter the center of Hoi An. This shooting activity is only available from February to September, as the weather is not suitable during other seasons, and the fishing nets are removed.

Get ready for a one-of-a-kind visual journey. Our local professional photographer in Hoi An will warmly welcome you and pick you up right from your hotel. From there, enjoy a 30-minute scenic taxi ride to a peaceful local village near Hoi An—home to the captivating art of blue fishing net mending.

Relax as we transfer you back to your hotel. End of service, but not the memories.

17:00 – 17:45 | ☀️ Golden Hour: The Ancient Walls

We start when the late afternoon sun paints the iconic mustard-yellow walls with a warm glow.

• The Shot: We work with our model in a traditional Ao Dai.
• The Technique: We position the model to catch the backlighting, creating a stunning "halo" effect on her hair and the translucent Ao Dai fabric against the historic architecture.

17:45 – 18:00 | 🌆 Twilight Transition: Lanterns Awaken

As the sun dips below the horizon, the natural light softens, and the magic begins—the street lanterns start to flicker on.

• The Scene: This is the low-contrast sweet spot. We capture wide shots of the busy Hoai River, with boats preparing for the evening and our model framed in the foreground against the awakening town.

18:00 – 18:30 | 🔵 The Prime Blue Hour: Fire & Ice

This is the most precious 30 minutes of the day!

• The Color Palette: The sky turns a deep, rich indigo (Blue Hour), creating a perfect complementary contrast with the warm orange glow of the tungsten lanterns.
• The Focus: The goal here is Orange (Lanterns) vs. Blue (Sky). We capture atmospheric environmental portraits of the model holding a lantern or pausing near a glowing stall.

18:30 – 19:30 | 🏮 Night Photography: Bokeh & Bustle

Once the sky goes fully dark, we shift our focus to high-contrast drama.

• The Technique: It’s all about the aperture. We open up wide (f/1.8 or f/1.4) to isolate the subject.
• The Result: The background lantern stalls transform into creamy, colorful circles (bokeh), keeping the model sharp while the bustling night market fades into a dreamy background.
