Summer Photography Tour Vietnam

NOTE: ITINERARY MAY BE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER EXPERIENCE IF ANY

DAY 1 - 1 JUN 2025: HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL

Welcome to the Summer Photography Tour Vietnam organized by An Bui. I will pick you up at the Ho Chi Minh City Airport, transfer to a hotel and relax after a long flight to Vietnam. You can arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on any flight schedule time on this day, or you can arrive a few days before the trip to explore the city, then join with us on this day. Ho Chi Minh is the biggest and modern city in Vietnam, you can find good travel service here. Moreover, there are many international ATM or money exchanges as well as card accepting in most of the restaurants or shops in the city center. Relax to prepare for our trip soon to begin the next day.

DAY 2 - 2 JUN 2025: HO CHI MINH / PHAN RANG

Breakfast at the hotel. 

Morning transfer to Phan Rang with 5 hours of driving. Phan Rang is located in the southern coastal area with mostly dry and hot seasons, so this place is ideal to plant grape fruit, onions and garlic. Moreover, this place recently is very popular for making solar electricity and wind electricity based on its suitable weather.

Lunch at a local restaurant in Phan Rang. 

Afternoon enjoy sunset photography at the sand dunes (Model setup for photography). The sand dunes in Phan Rang are not very huge, but its shape is great for photography as well as this place is rare for tourists visiting now. We will have several shooting concepts in the sand dunes of Phan Rang with the minority Cham People. We will enjoy photography with the models until the sun is set.

DAY 3 - 3 JUN 2025: PHAN RANG

Enjoy sunrise photography with the seascape view of Phan Rang.

Back to the hotel for breakfast. 

Morning enjoys portrait photography of the elderly in Phan Rang (Model setup for photography).

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon enjoy photography at the sheep farm (Model setup for photography). We will visit the area of the sheep farm and wait until the sheep come to their home. This shooting activity looks very funny, we need a little fitness to walk in front of the sheep, please notice the sheep walk really fast. After that, if the light is still good, we can transfer to enjoy the sunset with the wind electricity farm in Phan Rang. Surrounding the wind electricity farm is the rice paddy field, we can also have an opportunity to photograph the minority going home through the rice paddy fields too.

DAY 4 - 4 JUN 2025: PHAN RANG / HON KHOI

Enjoy sunrise photography of the seascape view of Phan Rang. There are many seascape views for photography in Phan Rang. Depending on weather and our group fitness, I will suggest an ideal shooting place on the spot.

Back to the hotel for breakfast. 

Morning enjoys photography at the handicraft village in Phan Rang (Model setup for photography).

Lunch at a local restaurant. 

Afternoon transfer to Hon Khoi with 2.5 hours of driving.

Dinner at a hotel restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Hon Khoi.

DAY 5 - 5 JUN 2025: HON KHOI / PHU YEN / QUY NHON

Enjoy sunrise photography at the salt fields with local workers carrying the salt with the bamboo baskets (Model setup for photography). These shooting activities are only available with the dry weather. This period is good for photography at the salt fields.

Back to the hotel for breakfast. Morning transfer to Phu Yen with 2 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant. Photo stops at Nghinh Phong tower. This tower is really nice based on the inspiration of the natural heritage of Phu Yen, the Ganh Da Dia, and this tower got many prizes for world architecture recently.

Afternoon enjoy photography at the handicraft village of Phu Yen (Model setup for photography)

After shooting, transfer to Quy Nhon with 2 hours of driving.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Quy Nhon.

DAY 6 - 6 JUN 2025: QUY NHON / HOI AN

Enjoy sunrise photography at the seascape of Quy Nhon.

Back to the hotel for breakfast.

Morning transfer to Hoi An with 6 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Enjoy sunset and twilight time in Hoi An ancient town along the river.

Dinner at local restaurant in Hoi An 

Overnight at a hotel in Hoi An.

DAY 7 - 7 JUN 2025: HOI AN

Enjoy sunrise photography with the fishermen at Hoi An (Model setup for photography). Early morning, enjoy a boat trip to the fishing village for photography with the fishermen in Hoi An during sunrise. 

Back to the hotel for breakfast. 

Morning enjoy photography with people mending the blue fishing net in Hoi An (Model setup for photography).

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon enjoys portrait photography in Hoi An with the elderly (Model setup for photography). We will enjoy photography with the very famous and beautiful elderly people in Hoi An.

Then free to visit Hoi An Ancient Town. Hoi An is a lively heritage town, there is no car to enter this area, walking and cycling are the main activities to visit Hoi An Ancient Town. The Hoi An Town is very nice during sunset with the twilight of the lantern.

DAY 8 - 8 JUN 2025: HOI AN / HUE

Enjoy sunrise photography at the biggest fishing market in Vietnam along the beach. Early morning fishermen come to the beach by rounded boats with their fresh fish to sell directly to buyers.

Back to the hotel for breakfast.

Morning transfer to Hue with 3 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant. 

Afternoon enjoy portrait photography with a lady in Ao Dai (Model setup for photography). Ao Dai is the traditional dress of Vietnam and it is nicer during people visiting the heritage sites.

DAY 9 - 9 JUN 2025: HUE

Early breakfast at the hotel.

Morning enjoys photography at the handicraft village to make paper flowers in Hue (Model setup for photography). With the light of early morning in the rural place of Hue, it makes the photo more dramatic.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Enjoy photography with fishermen throwing fishing nets in the river (Model setup for photography).

Afternoon enjoy photography with the lady in Ao Dai throwing the lantern on the river (Model setup for photography). Throwing lanterns to the river is the traditional activity of people in Hue, on the full moon night, they often throw the lantern and make a wish.

DAY 10 - 10 JUN 2025: HUE / HANOI / PHU THO

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning transfer to the airport for a short flight to Hanoi.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Arriving in Hanoi in the afternoon, then transferring to Phu Tho with 2 hours of driving.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 11 - 11 JUN 2025: PHU THO / MU CANG CHAI

Enjoy sunrise photography at the tea hill of Long Coc, Phu Tho.

Breakfast at a local restaurant.

Morning transfer to Mu Cang Chai with 6 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoons enjoy photography with the hill of the rice terrace.

Dinner at homestay in Mu Cang Chai.

Overnight at homestay in Mu Cang Chai (Basic accommodation).

DAY 12 - 12 JUN 2025: MU CANG CHAI

Enjoy sunrise photography at the rice terrace in Mu Cang Chai (Enjoy motorbikes to get to the shooting place). Currently using a motorbike is the most convenient way to get to the shooting place at the top of the rice terrace hill. The path is narrow and has a quiet slope, so motorbikes are the most convenient now. After experiencing the motorbike to the top of the rice terrace hill, you will admire one of the biggest views of the rice field in Vietnam.

Afternoon visiting minority village with the corn house (Model setup for photography).
Enjoy sunset at Mu Cang Chai rice terrace (Enjoy motorbikes to get to the shooting place again).
Dinner at homestay in Mu Cang Chai.
Overnight at homestay in Mu Cang Chai (Basic accommodation).

DAY 13 - 13 JUN 2025: MU CANG CHAI

Today we will visit other rice terraces in Mu Cang Chai or visit the previous places for different weather conditions.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner at homestay Mu Cang Chai.

Overnight at homestay in Mu Cang Chai (Basic accommodation).

DAY 14 - 14 JUN 2025: MU CANG CHAI / HANOI

Enjoy morning photography at the rice terrace in Mu Cang Chai with another place.

Breakfast at a local restaurant.

Morning transfer to Hanoi with 7 hours of driving.

Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon enjoy photography of Hoan Kiem lake.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.

DAY 15 - 15 JUN 2025: HANOI DEPARTURE

Breakfast at a hotel.

Free at leisure until time transfer to Hanoi airport for your next destination. End of service.
