Best Vietnam Photo Tour

NOTE: ITINERARY MAY BE CHANGED FOR THE BETTER EXPERIENCE IF ANY

DAY 1 - 14 AUG 2025: HO CHI MINH CITY ARRIVAL
Welcome to the Best Vietnam Photography Tour organized by An Bui. I will pick you up at the Ho Chi Minh City Airport, transfer to hotel and relax after long flight to Vietnam. You can arrive in Ho Chi Minh City in any flight schedule time on this day, or you can arrive few days before the trip to explore the city, then join with us on this day. Ho Chi Minh is the biggest and modern city in Vietnam, you can find good travel service here. Moreover, there are many international ATM or money exchange as well as card accepting in most of the restaurant or shop in the city center. Relax to prepare our trip soon to begin in next day.

DAY 2 - 15 AUG 2025: HO CHI MINH CITY / MOC HOA
Breakfast at hotel.
Begin of the tour is morning enjoys photography with the lady in Ao Dai in Ho Chi Minh City (Setup for photography). The Ao Dai is the traditional dress of Vietnam. This shooting concept is really suitable with the pagoda or antique or rural places. This shooting section is light, fun and just a warm up for our long day photo tour.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon transfer to Moc Hoa with 3 hours of driving. Moc Hoa is a rural destination near the border of Cambodia. The travel service in Moc Hoa is just basic but this place is very famous for photography of water lily flowers in Vietnam. During Aug to Nov is the season of water lily flowers. Normally local farmer harvests them in the early morning, then sell it to the market. We will enjoy photography of the water lily flower in the next early morning.
Dinner at hotel restaurant.
Overnight at a hotel in Moc Hoa. Accommodation basic in the rural destination.
 

DAY 3 - 16 AUG 2025: MOC HOA / CHAU DOC
Enjoy morning photography with the water lily flower and the local farmers (Model setup for photography). This early morning, we will transfer by boat about 20 minutes to get to the shooting point on land with all of the water. Enjoy water lily flower rowing on the water and setup for art photography with water lily flowers on the water. 

Back to hotel for breakfast.

Morning transfer to Chau Doc with 4 hours of driving. Chau Doc is also the destination near the border or Cambodia. The cultures of local people in Chau Doc affected by Khmer people culture, so you can easily see the different of it.

Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon enjoy photography with the fishermen (Model setup for photography). We will stand on the bridge to shoot with the fishermen throwing the fishing net in the river during the late afternoon, surrounding the flooding area of the rice fields.

Overnight at a hotel in Chau Doc.
 

DAY 4 - 17 AUG 2025: CHAU DOC / HO CHI MINH CITY
Early morning, enjoy sunrise photography with the palm trees inside the rice paddy field. If lucky by the weather or seasonal, the rice field is all the water, so the reflection would be nice.
Back to hotel for breakfast.
Morning enjoys photography with the cow racing (Model setup for photography). The Khmer people in this area often celebrate cow racing for a successful new crop. Normally there is 4 couple going racing. The cow drivers are challenge to each other how to control the cow as well as possible.
After that, visit the Khmer pagoda and enjoy morning photography (Model setup for photography)

Afternoon transfer to Ho Chi Minh City with 6 hours of driving.

Overnight at hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.
 

DAY 5 - 18 AUG 2025: HO CHI MINH CITY / HUE
Breakfast at hotel.

Morning transfer to Ho Chi Minh Airport for short flight to Hue.

Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon enjoy photography with the fishermen throwing the fishing net in Hue (Model setup for photography).  

Enjoy photography with the floating red lantern thrown by a lady in Ao Dai from a boat (Model setup for  photography).  

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at a hotel in Hue.
 

DAY 6 - 19 AUG 2025: HUE / HOI AN

Enjoy sunrise photography at the lagoon of Hue.

Morning visiting the mausoleum of Hue and enjoying photography with a lady in Ao Dai (Model setup for photography). 

Lunch at the local restaurant.

Afternoon transfer to Hoi An with 3 hour of driving.

Free visiting Hoi An for street photography in the afternoon.

Dinner at a local restaurant.

Overnight at hotel in Hoi An.

DAY 7 - 20 AUG 2025: HOI AN / DA NANG / HANOI 

Early morning transfer by boat to the shooting point of the fishermen with the fishing trap (Model setup for  photography).

Breakfast at the hotel.

Morning enjoy photography with the elderly in Hoi An (Model setup for photography).

Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon transfer to Da Nang Airport for a short flight to Hanoi.

Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.
 

DAY 8 - 21 AUG 2025: HANOI HANDICRAFT VILLAGE / LANG SON

Breakfast at hotel.

Hanoi surrounding there are a lot of handicraft village, they are still remaining the job and develop until now. I can see now in Vietnam mostly the handicraft village concentrate surround Hanoi inside the small village. 

Morning visit handicraft village making incense in Hanoi (Model setup for photography).

Then enjoy photography with the craft village of making conical hats (Model setup for photography).

Afternoon transfer to Lang Son with 3 hours of driving.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight at a hotel in Lang Son.
 

DAY 9 - 22 AUG 2025: LANG SON / CAO BANG (BAN GIOC)

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning transfer to Ban Gioc with 5 hours of driving.

Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon enjoy photography of the greatest Ban Gioc Waterfall. Ban Gioc is the best waterfall in Vietnam, it is ideal for photography in the early morning and late afternoon.

DAY 10 - 23 AUG 2025: CAO BANG (BAN GIOC)
Early morning we will go to Phong Nam village to enjoy the view of sunrise. If luckily, we will have mist or cloud surrounding the mountains, it should be a great moment for photography in Cao Bang. To access the shooting point, it require to trek up to the hill about 20 minutes. The village is surrounding by very beautiful color of Quay Son River. Phong Nam is a very rural village of the minority people. People in here mainly doing agriculture especially rice.

Afternoon visit minority village and enjoy afternoon shooting with the minority in Cao Bang (Model setup for photography).

Enjoy sunset photography with the nice view of the Cao Bang landscape. To get the shooting point it need to trek about 20 minutes.

Overnight at hotel in Ban Gioc.
 

DAY 11 - 24 AUG 2025: CAO BANG (BAN GIOC) / HANOI

Enjoy sunrise photography with the mountainous view of Cao Bang, we need to trek to the top of the hill around 45 minutes. This morning, we will challenge of 1 km trails to the shooting place in Ngoc Con hill with 600 meter high, with the view high view to the hill with the river surrounding in the sunrise light. The trail is not much heavy, it takes about 45 minutes to finish with normal health. 

(The other option if your fitness it not suitable for trekking, you can enjoy morning shooting with the Ban Gioc waterfall).

Morning transfer to Hanoi with 7 hours of driving.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight at basic hotel in Hanoi.
 

DAY 12 - 25 AUG 2025: HANOI / MU CANG CHAI

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning departs to Mu Cang Chai with 7 hours of driving. The traffic and road condition is normally good, we will have several photo stops on the way.
Lunch at local restaurant
Afternoons enjoy photography with the hill of rice terrace.
Dinner at homestay in Mu Cang Chai.
Overnight at homestay in Mu Cang Chai (Basic accommodation).
 

DAY 13 - 26 AUG 2025: MU CANG CHAI

Enjoy sunrise photography at the rice terrace in Mu Cang Chai (Enjoy motorbikes to get to the shooting place). Currently using motorbike is the most convenient way to get the shooting place in the top of the rice terrace hill. The path is narrow and quite slope, so motorbike is the best convenient now. After experience by the motorbike to the top of the rice terrace hill, you will admire one of the biggest view of rice field in Vietnam.

Back to homestay for breakfast.
Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon visiting minority village with the corn house (Model setup for photography).
Enjoy sunset at Mu Cang Chai rice terrace (Enjoy motorbikes to get to the shooting place again).
Dinner at homestay in Mu Cang Chai.
Overnight at homestay in Mu Cang Chai (Basic accommodation).
 

DAY 14 - 27 AUG 2025: MU CANG CHAI / HANOI

Enjoy morning photography at the rice terrace in Mu Cang Chai with another place.

Breakfast at local restaurant.

Morning transfer to Hanoi with 7 hours of driving.

Lunch at local restaurant.
Afternoon enjoy photography of Hoan Kiem lake and West lake.
Dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight at hotel in Hanoi.
 

DAY 15 - 28 AUG 2025: HANOI / DEPARTURES
Breakfast at hotel.
Free at leisure until time transfer to Hanoi airport for your next destination. End of service.
